StudyTrace helps students organize truthful academic writing-process evidence, source records, AI-use boundaries, timelines, and appeal report drafts. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
We use data to provide the StudyTrace workspace, authenticate users, process payments, grant and consume credits, generate AI-assisted analysis, save evidence projects, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support or legal requests.
When you request AI analysis, the relevant workspace content may be sent to the configured StudyTrace AI provider. You should remove unrelated personal data before analysis. StudyTrace is designed to organize evidence and explain gaps; it does not guarantee any academic appeal outcome.
The workspace may use browser storage to keep basic workspace state. Full extracted text snippets are not intended to be persisted locally. Clearing your browser storage may remove local drafts.
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted providers for hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, storage, analytics, AI processing, security, or legal compliance.
We retain account, billing, and workspace records as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. You may request deletion of your account or workspace data by contacting support.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as access controls, encrypted transport, provider-level security controls, and audit records. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
