By accessing or using StudyTrace, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Description

StudyTrace provides tools for organizing academic writing-process evidence, source records, AI-use boundaries, timelines, risk explanations, and appeal report drafts. StudyTrace is not an AI detector bypass tool and does not guarantee any academic, disciplinary, legal, or institutional outcome.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the materials you upload or enter. You must not use StudyTrace to fabricate evidence, hide AI use, misrepresent authorship, evade academic integrity processes, or submit false statements.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Uploaded Materials and Reports

You retain ownership of your content. You grant StudyTrace the limited rights needed to host, process, analyze, store, and export your content for the service. You should remove unrelated personal or sensitive information before uploading, analyzing, exporting, or submitting materials.

AI Output

AI-generated analysis and report drafts may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your institution's process. You must review all output before using it. StudyTrace does not provide legal advice, academic representation, or guaranteed appeal language.

Payments and Credits

Paid plans and credit packs are processed through third-party payment providers. Credits may expire according to the selected plan. Purchases are non-refundable unless required by law or stated otherwise.

Prohibited Use

You may not use StudyTrace to:

• fabricate, alter, or conceal academic evidence;
• impersonate another person;
• upload malware or unauthorized content;
• violate laws, school policies, or third-party rights;
• interfere with service security or availability;
• resell the service without permission.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these terms, creates risk, abuses the service, or is required by law.

Disclaimer

StudyTrace is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudyTrace will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, academic, disciplinary, or institutional damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
